Felt like doing a giveaway...

Hey Everyone,
I decided to do a giveaway of this lovely necklace. It is just in time for Valentine's day..which by the way, my hubby and I don't celebrate. So why am I doing this fabulous giveaway??? Well so many folks want someone to snuggle with so badly that they are willing to take anything a person throws at them. The thing is that if you decide to take crap from the certain someone, that is all your life is going to be...crap! You really are giving your lovely pearls away to someone who isn't worth it and who doesn't deserve it. We definitely cannot have that. So, don't waste your time folks (well ladies to be exact) with ridiculous nonsense. Buckle up, put on your party dress, add some sparkle and get out there and enjoy your life. Even if you have to do it alone for a minute. I created this necklace to remind you that no matter what, you are to guard your heart above all else because it is the wellspring of life...Proverbs 4:23.

Then when Mr. Right...or Mrs. Right comes along, you will have all your awesome fantabulousness to share with them.

Send me a comment with a brief tale of your best Valentine's day ever for a chance to win this necklace....Oh...and shipping is on me. The necklace features a red heart encased in glass with a french script background. It also has a crystal octagon bead connecting the pendant to the chain and a round crystal bead dangle.

Giveaway ends at 9:00 p.m. on Feb 10.

Happy commenting...

JC

Thifa, its Jessica H, you already KNEW I would comment right. We dont really do much for Valentines Day over here either. Love is 24/7 feel good or feel bad, like him or ready to kill em, love is constant and so far beyond Hallmark days. And what gets me even more is when my single friends get depressed over Feb 14. If only they understood they are always loved by one who never changes!

the best v day was probably the one that my dh was out of town for -- he returned with a potted azalea for me.

Hi! I don't have a exact great Valentine's Day. One year I got a bunch of cards from my mom and dad, grandmother and more because they knew I was down in the dumps. If you don't have someone, family is very important to you and they are usually very supportive. I love the necklace...it is so beautiful. Please enter me. :)

Last year was the first Valentine's Day that my boyfriend and I spent together. Well okay, I guess that's not true. We spent all of our elementary school years trading those lame Valentine's day cards that everyone had to buy for each other. Last year was the first Valentines day that we spent together as a a couple. We were determined to make it a memorable one. However, two weeks before Valentine's day we both came down with an awful case of the flu and were confined to bed rest and painful coughing on Feb 14th. As we passed tissue boxes and cough drops to one another I nudged a space invader valentine's day card that I found in the city. (My boyfriend is a huge nerd, it was a total hit.) To my surprise he had somehow snuck a dozen roses in the apartment and surprised me with dinner delivered from our favorite restaurant. Although we couldn't taste it, it was one of the best Valentine's day of my life ever.

LOVE the necklace! Hopefully my best Valentine's day is yet to come, because none really stand out in my mind so far. I do always exchange valentines with my mom, though!

I waited quite awhile until my husband came along. My favorite Valentine's day was with him when he kicked me out of my house (his place didn't have a great kitchen) and tried to make me a cake. It was good, but we realized after eating it he left out the egg, so it was really dense and had more frosting than cake! It was the thought that counts, though, since he knows how much I love home made things. Two years later, we're married and having a great time!

This necklace is incredible and so beautiful. Thank you for your post, I am showing it to my sister, she needs to hear these words. I honestly don't do anything too spectacular for V-day. I try to love and cherish people in my life on a daily basis, so I often just have dinner an sometimes exchange V-day candies :) Thank you.

Beautiful necklace! Valentine's Day 2008 I found out I was pregnant with my first little one. That's the best present we could ever have gotten each other. Other than that though we generally just exchange cards and go out to eat.

My best Valentine's Day was one where my friends and I just hung out and enjoyed the evening with good food, good conversation, good laughs. Love isn't only the romantic kind. It can be the strong bonds between friends who so much for each other.

Oh I forgot to leave my story! Every Valentine's Day for the last few years my husband takes me out to Ruth's Chris steakhouse. It's simple, we feast and then go back home. I really like it. Plus I get to dress up!

Great post, and such a pretty necklace!

this necklace is gorgeous and has such beautiful meaning within. thank you so much for this giveaway!

my favorite valentines was when my now-husband invited me to a military ball... where we finally talked about our feelings and that we didn't want to date each other unless we thought we might get married. no more sense wasting beautiful time and emotion on someone the Lord wouldn't desire for us, right? so that's sort of where our story begins.

The best Valentine's ever... well I would have to say they all have been! We are really low key in our house so it consists of hearts cut out of construction paper or my daughter's handprints stamped on a card and flowers from my hubby. Maybe it is just that break in the year when you get to tell others how much you love them.

Last year, after a grueling day of work, I come home to find my boyfriend-at-the-time had used my share key to let himself in and prepare a small feast and bubble bath; he even massaged my feet! It was the best Valentine's Day gift because it was completely unexpected (even after six years of being together).
Sadly, the guy and I are no longer together and this will be the first Valentine's Day apart and alone.
However, I'm hoping to get other single friends together and bond over our shares loves and losses.

I used to be that girl when Valentines Day came around I would get so wound up and depressed if I didnt have a boyfriend to share that day with. It is so easy to fall into that mode since Valentines Day is such a commerical "holiday". However through prayer I have come to welcome Valentines Day because to me it is just another day I can appreicate the overwhelming love that surrounds me by my savior. The best Valentines Day I had was last year... where my best friend and I just cooked dinner had some wine and just talked about life and enjoyed each others company. Remembering that Valentines Day is appreciating all the people you love in your life not just a significant other.

My best Valentines Day ever was when my boyfriend came home bent down on one knee and pulled out a little box with a lovely ring in it. We have been happily married for almost ten years and have our newborn son laying between us right now. God is good.

I try not to totally overdue it for Valentine's Day but I do have a favorite. My boyfriend was overseas working for the government and I had not seen him in over one year. I was home doing nothing and I heard someone outside my door. I then heard a knock and there he was. I cried and cried and cried some more :) I was so happy to see him. I had very little food in the house so dinner was some goat cheese and crackers and a bottle of wine. It was wonderful just being able to see each other again.

That is a lovely necklace! One of my fondest valentine's days (which my husband and I also don't do) was way back in high school. I've never been a romantic person and my boyfriend back then brought over the exorcist and other movies that we had never seen. It was a wonderful, unconventional and gory valentine's day!

My best Valentine’s Day started out as my worst. Of all days my father was scheduled for surgery. I hadn’t been feeling well myself; a terrible stomach virus had left me dehydrated and exhausted. To make matters worse the East Coast was pummeled by what was soon called the “Valentine’s Day Blizzard” and New York City was buried. Early that morning though, snow and all, my boyfriend was at my doorstep with a bouquet of cream roses, my favorite. He had planned dinner at a restaurant in Manhattan and tickets to see “The Phantom of the Opera” on Broadway. I’m sad to say that I could barely stomach the food and the walk to the theater left my face red, my hair a mess, and my boots soaked. Yet Seventh Avenue itself was magical: normally jammed with cars and people, it was virtually abandoned due to the weather. We made it to the show where I found out that my dad was going to be fine. The curtain went up and I could hold my boyfriend’s hand, finally relaxed. On the drive home my boyfriend leaned over for a kiss and from behind my seat pulled out a gift: a band of diamonds and sapphires. Four years later, I still wear the ring. We can now laugh at our first Valentine’s Day, plagued with problems all somewhat lessened with time. One memory is left vibrant from that day: it was the first of many amazing occasions I’ve shared with the man I still love.

thanks!

My best Valentines was last year. I normally have relationship difficulties where either I am single or someone has broken up with me. Last year my boyfriend bought me flowers, chocolate, a video game for the Wii House of the Dead: Over Kill.
It was the best because he surprised me when I woke up. It was really nice.

I am so sorry-I was so taken back by your work that I forgot to tell my Valentine's story:
My Favorite Valentines Day is when I understood that I must love even when he is unlovely-just like Jesus does with me. It was a hard concept to realize-I had to gulp down my pride and do what Jesus would of done-loved him no matter what he did or said-to love unconditionally with no strings attached.
I am not sure if this is what you were looking for in a comment but this is the first thing that comes to mind.
Oh and the time he got me slippers-I didn't even ask for them-just had told him in passing that I liked them-it was so sweet of him to buy them for me.

Okay-sorry I am done-have a wonderful and blessed day:)

This necklace is so cute! My husband has a hard time celebrating v-day because he says it's too hard to come up with something original to give. I'm hoping that this v-day will be the best.

My best Valentine's Day was in 2000. My son and daughter-in-law gave me a Valentine's card that
read - "Happy Valentine's Day to the Best Grandma!" - then handwritten at the bottom was
"See you in October" - letting me know that they were expecting my first grandchild!! My granddaughter was born
October 3rd, 2000 - Victoria - and she is my heart of hearts!!!

I'm swedish, we don't really celebrate valentines day. But the most romantic celebration we've ever done, me and my boyfriend, was the time we shared a bottle of wine in a park in Tokyo, lit by colorful lamps hanging from the trees. It was such a wonderful feeling to be on the other side of the world (to us) and still feel like there was nothing that could keep us apart.

So pretty! My best Valentine's was when my dad gave me a new black lab puppy. I named her Sophie and she's been one of my best friends ever since. I love my dad, and I love my Sophie.

My favorite Valentine's Day was last year, with my husband. It was our first Valentine's Day together, and we decided to go a getaway in the cities. It was so much fun going out to eat, connecting with each other, and just getting away from the daily stresses of life. We even ate breakfast out in the cute, streetside corner diner the next morning. Great memories!

My best Valentines Day was our first as a married couple. We were saving for a house and didn't have much extra to spend. My hubby gave me a tiny gold teddy bear charm for my charm bracelet as we had just found out I was expecting.

I have never been a huge fan of valentine's day - expectations were always set too high and reality did not quite meet those. I dol love now sharing with the kids though - making valentines, etc. We started making sweetheart sundaes one year (icecream, candy hearts, strawberry and chocolate syrup,. whipped cream etc.) and now it is an annual tradition.

Oh...one of my favorite Valentines Days...i was working w teens in youth ministry. we sold singing telegrams to be delivered on that day....and the kids dressed up in colorful and wacky as Love Bugs. We, however, were unprepared at how many elderly, or people who lived alone were sooooo touched to get a rousing version of YOU ARE MY SUNSHINE and a valentines balloon. We had such an amazing time..that the next day...we hit up the retirement home to "spread the love"!

Valentines Day three years ago I met my dear Husband to be. We were both single and to avoid the most romantic day of the year we both ended up volunteering for the same animal sanctuary. We spent all day shoveling poo, playing in the snow and then we went out for some delicious food. Within the week we were dating and weve been together ever since!

My best Valentine's ever was the first Valentine with my then boyfriend, now husband. We had been dating for only about 4 months, but were already talking about marriage. He gave me the most beautiful ring! And he told me that I should wear it on my right hand or plan to switch fingers soon. It was so sweet, and as they say...the rest is history!

I found you on Etsy and really liked your stuff and then happened across your blog....your giveaway necklace is awesome and I LOVE the verse and words that go with it. And it's very true! After 23 years of guarding my heart I went out with a bunch of single friends on Valentine's Day just to have fun. And one of those friends eventually became my husband and best friend! Loving people every day and trusting God with romance is the way to go!
